Bridging the gap to success

Liz’s close relationship with her clients enables her to provide resourceful solutions to make their lives and financial management less stressful. She draws from a vast array of contacts to connect her clients with the professional assistance they need to manifest success.

It’s not rare to find Liz providing in-depth, one-on-one investment training and financial management insight for clients. She’s able to enhance their understanding with focused presentations, as well as the quarterly Riggs Report. For this reason, many local business professionals, especially women, seek her guidance as a sounding board for business advice.

Grounded in the community

Liz devotes a great deal of time to community endeavors and is particularly focused on helping women in business. In 2001 she helped to develop Women Business Leaders in Healthcare, a national organization of senior executive women in the healthcare industry. Today, WBL has more than 1,000 members and facilitates board opportunities for women healthcare executives.

In 2003, Liz co-founded Circe 200, an invitation only networking organization for senior executive women in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  In 2009, she received the Athena International Award in recognition of her efforts to help women grow professionally.

Liz has volunteered with the private-public downtown revitalization organization–Diamond City Partnership–for 10 years and served as the Chair of its Board from 2009-2015. She was the first female Chair of the Board of the Nuangola Lake Association—a 100+ year organization devoted to the preservation of Lake Nuangola and its community.  She also has served on the boards of the FM Kirby Center for the Performing Arts; The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce; and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry.  Currently, she is Chair of the Board of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry.

In March 2009, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Business Journal recognized her as one of the “Top 25 Women in Business” and in 2001 the same publication recognized her as one of the “Top 20 Executives Under 40.”  She is a 2002 graduate of Leadership Wilkes-Barre.

Prior to joining Riggs in 2000, Liz directed the marketing and strategic planning efforts for a large national law firm with offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Stamford, Newark, and Dallas.
